Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?
We use both cookies and local browser storage (localStorage). The rules on consent also apply to storage for measurement and marketing in localStorage. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. Cookies are used to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how visitors use the website.
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a set period).
2. Legal basis
Our use of cookies is governed by:
-
The Danish Cookie Order (Cookiebekendtgørelsen) (BEK no. 1148 of 09/12/2011), which implements the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC)
-
GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation), to the extent that cookies involve the processing of personal data
Non-essential cookies require your prior consent before they are set. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
3. Essential cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to work properly. They do not require consent.

4. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website, so we can improve the user experience. These cookies are set only after your consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes between visitors | Google Analytics | 2 years |
| mf_user | Recognises a returning visitor | Mouseflow | 90 days |
| mf_* | Links page views to the same recording | Mouseflow | Session |
| ga* | Stores session state | Google Analytics | 2 years |
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Consent Mode v2. Google's measurement script is only loaded after consent to analytics. We do not send GA4 measurement pings before this consent.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure page views and speed after consent to analytics. Vercel does not use traditional analytics cookies; Web Analytics can distinguish visitors using a hash with a lifetime of up to 24 hours.
With consent to analytics or marketing, we store the traffic source in localStorage (lillesaga:attribution), so we can link a visit and a purchase to a campaign or a wish list. Ad click IDs are only stored with marketing consent. The information expires after 90 days and is removed or restricted if consent is withdrawn. Your design choices and your basket are kept.
Mouseflow records clicks, mouse movements, scrolling and navigation and creates heatmaps to help us improve the designer and checkout. Its script loads only after consent to analytics. Field contents, the child's name, personal messages, personalised book views and contact details are hidden in the browser before the recording is sent. Private wish links and administration pages are not recorded. Data is processed on our Mouseflow EU account. Do Not Track is respected, and recording stops when analytics consent is withdrawn.
5. Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies are used to show relevant ads and measure the effectiveness of campaigns. These cookies are set only after your consent to marketing via our cookie banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Ad targeting and conversion measurement | Meta Platforms Ireland | Approx. 3 months |
| _fbc | Links clicks on Meta ads to purchases | Meta Platforms Ireland | Approx. 3 months |
We use Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited to target ads on Facebook and Instagram and to measure whether our ads lead to purchases. The pixel's script is only loaded once you have accepted marketing. Meta's server-based purchase measurement (Conversions API) also uses the marketing choice you made at checkout.
We do not currently use Google Ads cookies. If we add them in the future, they will only be set after your consent via the cookie banner.
Trustpilot. Our reviews are shown through Trustpilot's own widget, which is loaded from Trustpilot A/S and sets third-party cookies. That is why we only load it if you have accepted marketing cookies. If you have not, we show an ordinary link to our Trustpilot profile instead - it loads nothing from Trustpilot and sets no cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot widget | Shows our TrustScore and reviews on the page | Trustpilot A/S | Only set once you consent |
6. Third-party cookies
Our website may contain embedded content or services from third parties, which may set their own cookies:
-
Stripe - for secure payment handling. Stripe's cookies are classified as essential, as they are required to complete a purchase.
-
Ønskeskyen (GoWish) - the button is an ordinary link and loads no Ønskeskyen scripts on our site. Only when you click do you open Ønskeskyen and share the link to your personalised book. Ønskeskyen's own privacy and cookie choices apply on their service.
-
Cloudinary - for delivering images. Sets no cookies that can be linked to a person.
-
Google Customer Reviews - on the order confirmation page after a purchase, and only when you have consented to marketing or have chosen to receive Google's survey yourself. Google may set and read cookies and receives information about the order (see the privacy policy). You can delete cookies in your browser settings and change your consent via the cookie banner.
We have no control over third-party cookies. See the privacy policies of the respective third parties for further information.
