Expected delivery is 2-7 days from when you order. Each book is printed and finished individually after you have ordered, so it is not an item we keep in stock. We send with GLS, and you choose between collection from a parcel shop (DKK 39) and delivery to your address (DKK 49) - both free when you spend DKK 499 or more. You will get a track and trace number once the parcel has been sent.

You choose the child's name, gender, hair colour and hairstyle, and both the cover and every spread in the book are drawn with that character. The name is on the cover and runs through the whole story. You can see the whole book in your browser before you buy.

Yes. The texts and illustrations in LILLESAGA's books are created with the help of generative AI. The material is then selected, edited and quality-checked by people at LILLESAGA before it is offered for sale. When you order, your book is put together automatically from the approved texts and illustrations and personalised with the child's name and the appearance you have chosen.

It is a hardback picture book printed in Denmark. The illustrations have a soft watercolour style and are printed in full colour across the spread.

Yes. The books are printed in Denmark as Nordic Swan Ecolabelled printed matter (licence 5041 1003) on FSC®-certified paper (FSC® C016433). The Nordic Swan Ecolabel (Svanemærket) is the official ecolabel of the Nordic countries and sets requirements for the whole life cycle of the printed product - paper, inks, chemicals and energy. The FSC label means that the paper comes from responsibly managed forests, where no more trees are felled than the forest can regrow.

The finished book measures 24 x 17 cm in landscape format - wider than it is tall, so the illustration can run across the whole spread. Opened out, it is 48.8 cm wide. It is a hardback with a stiff cover, and the story fills 24 pages.

Yes. You can flick through the whole book in your browser, with the child's name and appearance, before you add it to your basket. What you see in the reader is what gets printed.

No. There is no right of withdrawal on LILLESAGA books, because each book is made to order for one particular child, with their name and appearance. Legally it is a sale of specific goods (in Danish: specieskøb), and the item cannot be resold to anyone else. If the book is damaged or printed incorrectly, that is a complaint about a defect, and we cover it.

You can pay with MobilePay or a payment card. Payment is handled by Stripe, and neither LILLESAGA nor anyone else gets access to your full card details. The amount is charged when you order, because production of the book starts straight away.
